Wife or Arch Dorothy.DEATH OF MRS. N. J. DOROTHY
Mrs. N. J. Dorothy, mother of S. M. Dorothy, died Sunday afternoon at the home of her son in Douglas. She had been in poor health for the last year and her death was not unexpected.
Mrs. Dorothy was in her eighty-second year, having been born at Greencastle, Ind., January 28, 1839. When a girl she removed with her parents to Iowa. She was married there to Andrew Fulmer, two children being born to them. After his death she was married to Archibald Dorothy in 1864. To this union nine children were born, seven of whom survive. They are Grant, Phillips, S.D.; Harry, Rapid City, S.D.; Elmer, Spencer, Neb.; George, David City, Neb.; Mrs. Frank Derby, Apache, Okla.; Mrs. Cora Derby, Santa Anna, Calif.; Charles and William Fulmer, David City, Neb.
Funeral services were held at the Hofmann Chapel on Monday afternoon, after which the body was shipped to the old home at Blakesburg, Ia.; accompanied by Mr. Dorothy. Burial will be at Blakesburg.
