Former Resident of West Bedford Dies in Orrville

Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock short services will be held at the late home in Orrville, followed by services at 2:30 o'clock at West Bedford for Jacob Adams, aged 88, a former Coshocton and West Bedford resident, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James Turner, East Paradise-st., Orrville, last Saturday. His death was due to infirmities.
He was the son of the late John and Rachel Adams, and was born September 3, 1839 in Bedford co., Pennsylvania.
When he was six years of age his parents came to Ohio and lived on a homestead near West Bedford. He spent his entire life there with the exception of the last 11 years, seven being spent in this city and the last four in Orrville with his daughter.
Mr. Adams was the last of a family of 11 members. He was united in marriage three times, each wife preceded him to the grave, the last 18 years ago. He was the father of eight children, five having preceded him in death, the last being Attorney John Adams, of this city.
The following children survive; Charles, of Cleveland; Mrs. Turner and Mrs. Ferne Grimes, of Dennison. Five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survive.
