Oneta Dahl Teinert LUBBOCK- Oneta (Harris) Dahl Teinert was beckoned home by her heavenly Father on May 1, 2013. Oneta was born April 17, 1932 in rural Oklahoma and was a proud resident of Lubbock, Texas for 46 years. She fell in love with and married Dr. Bill Dahl in 1953. From their love sprang three generations of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Oneta spoke softly, loved deeply, and forgave infinitely. Her patient wisdom was a treasure to her children and grandchildren. Oneta's life and love are bright reminders of her savior Jesus Christ. Oneta's life is celebrated by her three beautiful sisters, Freda Lois Gleichman, Iola Vivian Carpenter, and Norma Lucille Leslie; her devoted children, Desirae and Mike Husband, Arlyn and Sherri Dahl, Kelly and Andre Lange; her adoring grandchildren, Kini and Ryan Martin, Derek and Stacie Dahl, Bryana Lange, Dylan Dahl, Tyler Lange; and her precious great-grandchildren, Josh Emanuel, Jason Emanuel, Larissa Gonzalez, Maddi Dahl. She's gone to the sweet by and by to rejoin her beloved, Bill Dahl, Wayne Harris, Ludy Teinert, and Hubert and Elsie Harris. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2221 Avenue W. Internment will follow at the Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Resthaven Funeral Home on today from 5 to 7 p.m. The family wishes to thank the staff of Covenant Lakeside ICU for their loving care during her last days. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Bill and Oneta Dahl Scholarship Endowment at Texas Tech University. Condolences may be offered at www.resthavenfuneralhome.com.
