The Christian Index, Aug. 24, 1893
BENSON.--Sister Sarah J. Benson died in Carrollton Ga., June 23, 1893 -- was born May 4th 1828 -- joined the Baptist church when about 12 years old. She was a consistent Christian, her example was worthy of emulation and he life was a blessing to the church and community in which she lived. Your committee feel it is a privilege to commend the life and walks of this Christian mother and sister. We feel that she is not dead but only asleep in Jesus, awaiting the
time when she will arise in a renewed and beautified body to be with those who love the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.
T. Spurloch,
J. P. Little,
W. M. Fitts,
Committee from the Church.
