Archie Dallas Poore
(May 22, 1922 - June 13, 2008)

Dallas Poore, age 86, of Shelbina, MO passed away Friday, June 13, 2008, at approximately 3:15 pm in the Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO. He was born May 22, 1922, in Shelby County, MO, the son of Archie Pearl Poore and Goldie Perrigo Poore Stevenson. On June 30, 1947, he was united in marriage to Faye Fitzpatrick in Shelbina, MO. She survives.

Dallas is also survived by one half-sister, Gladys Linson of Branson, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Dorothy Grace Dennis; one infant sister and one half-brother, Richard Stevenson.

Dallas was a member of the Shelbina Baptist Church, the VFW and American Legion and served his country in the United States Army during World War II, being stationed in several foreign countries. Dallas and Faye owned and operated the Sky-Way Café in Shelbina for several years. He enjoyed traveling, boating and camping. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, June 16, 2008, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 pm, Sunday, June 15, 2008, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO. Burialswill be in Shelbina Cemetery. Minister will be Jim Bilbro. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Shelbina or Crooked Creek Baptist Church.
