ETHEL JESPERSEN, 90

Lifetime Washington County resident, Ethel Jespersen died at the Good Shepherd Home on Friday, February 3, 1989 at the age of 90.

She was born on a farm west of Herman, Nebraska on December 6, 1898 to Henry and Petra Hansen Christiansen. She attended the Thone School.

Ethel was united in marriage to Jens Alfred Jespersen on March 18, 1919 in Blair, Nebraska. She was a member of the Herman United Methodist Church, a member of the Herman Eastern Star and a past worthy matron.

She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Eric (Elaine) Christensen of Fremont, Nebraska and Mrs. Lee (Ione) Guyer of Minnetonka, Minnesota; by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred in 1967, five brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday, February 6, at the Herman United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Orvis officiating. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery.
