She is preceded in death by her husband, John Cary Peterson; parents, Xavier Eugene "Doc" and Pearl Gootee Mudd; sister, Roberta McIntyre; two brothers, H.P. and Gonza Mudd; great-granddaughter, Madison Kate Burress.
Survivors include a daughter, Julia Ann (Mike) Bengert, of Nicholasville, KY; five sons, John (Pam) Peterson, of Bardstown, KY, Greg (Marilyn) Peterson, of Versailles, KY, Charles (Sally) Peterson, of Memphis, TN, Doug (Julie) Peterson, of Richmond, KY, Stephen (Chris Bolling) Peterson, of Cincinnati, OH; three sisters, Sister Jean Gertrude Mudd, of Maple Mount, KY, Geneva Mudd and Gertrude Nally, of Washington County, KY; three brothers, Tom, Bernard, and Joseph Mudd, all of Washington County, KY. Ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, officiated by Rev. Bill Bowling. Interment will be in St. Augustine Church Cemetery.
Visitations will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m.Sunday evening at Bosley Funeral Home, with a prayer service that evening at 5:00 by Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to be made to St. Augustine School Scholarship Fund.
