ATMORE – Marvin Dalane Norman, 50, of Atmore, died suddenly April 29 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.

NormanMarvin was a native of Atmore and a graduate of Escambia County High School in 1981. After graduation from high school he studied one year at each of the following institutions of higher learning: Selma University; Reid State Technical College; and Jefferson Davis Community College, where he studied Barbering. He worked as a parts inspector at Alto. He was a member of the Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church where he was a member of the Male Chorus, the Gospel Voices and the Sunday School.

Those left to cherish his life are his mother, Johnnie Mae Norman of Atmore; his brother, Nicholas D. Norman of Memphis, Tenn.; ex-wife, Josephine Norman of Atmore; aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at the Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Hawthorne, pastor, officiating. Inhumation will be in the Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC directing
