Louis was born June 21, 1892 in the small Italian village of Verciano. He came to the United States as a young man, and settled in Reno, Nevada. He founded the Nevada Novelty Company in 1933, which he owned for 63 years.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus (4th Degree), Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Italian Catholic Federation, Our Lady of the Snows Church, and the Sierra Club.
Survivors included his widow, Rita; a son, Louis Benetti Jr; two daughters, Mrs. Maria Pia Tillis and Mrs. Adele Llop; 18 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
