Johnny C. Horton, 76, was born April 18, 1937. He was a lifetime resident of Etowah County and a longtime member of Edgewood Baptist Church. He was retired from Sears after 35 years of service. He had Type I Diabetes for 65 years. He was preceded in death by his parents John T and Georgia Horton; brothers, H.B. Horton and James Horton; sister, Dorothy Hare. He is survived by his wife, Doris Horton; eight nieces, four nephews, sister-in-law, Alice (Nathan) Bean.
