Funeral services for Roger G. Fountain, 18, of 905 Woodland Ave., are to be held this afternoon at four
18, of 905 Woodland Ave., are to be held this afternoon at four o'clock at the Jefferson Street Baptist Church with the pastor, the Rev. Frank E. Singleton officiating. Burial will be in Dublin Memorial Gardens and Adams Funeral Home is in charge of ar­rangements. Pallbearers will include Hugh Hamrick Jr, Sammy McAlexander, Steve Wilkinson, Danny Stanley, Jimmy Scarborough, Jimmy Harrington, Philip Haynes and Bootsie Neal. The body will lie in state at Adams Funeral Home until 3:30 P. M. when it will be taken to the church. Student at the University of Georgia, young Fountain was killed in a automobile accident early Sunday morning. He was a native of Laurens County and a member of the Jefferson Street Baptist Church. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Q. Fountain, of Dublin; his grandparents, P. H. Gay, Alamo, Rt 1, and Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Fountain, of Rentz, Rt 1, several aunts and uncles and other relatives

A pall of gloom was thrown over this entire section; Sunday when one young man was killed and three others injured in an automobile accident which occurred in the early hours. Roger G. Fountain, was killed and his three companions Injured when the car he was driving struck a tree 9.5 miles South of Dublin on Georgia 29 according to the report from the State Highway Departmen. Fountain was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Q. Fountain and a student at the University of Georgia. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the Jefferson Street Baptist Church at four o'clock The injured are Ben Morgan, 20, son of Mr. Farris Braswell, W. T. Holmes, 20, son of Mrs. W.T. Holmes and the late W.T. Holmes and Earl Vaughn son of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Vaughn of Pine Hill Road. The four were returning home when the car is said to have run off the road on a curve and crashed into a tree damages were said to be $1,000. Morgan is said to have head injuries and lacerations, Holmes neck and back injuries and Vaughn is suffering from head and severe arm it was reported.
