Roodhouse -- Carl S Riggs Sr, 85, of Roodhouse, died at 6:30 pm Friday, June 20, at White Hall Hospital. He was born Aug 26, 1900 in Morgan County, a son of Herbert and Margaret Mutch Riggs.
He married Pauline Johnson, June 22, 1935, in Jacksonville, and she survives with one son, Carl Jr, of Murrayville, one daughter, Mrs Roy (Carolyn) Spencer, of Roodhouse, nine grandchildren, nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, he was preceded by a son, a daughter, a sister and one brother.
He was a member of the Murrayville United Methodist Chuch and a retired farmer from the Alsey and Murrayville communities.
Graveside services will be 2 pm Sunday at Murrayville Cemetery. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
