ANDERSON, Larry Louis – Age 73, of Roseburg passed away Thursday, May 8, 1997 at a local hospital. He was born November 24, 1923 in Reedsport, Oregon to Louis C. and Dorathea L (Sieverts) Anderson. Larry married Helen M. Ostrowski on April 10, 1945 in San Diego, California.

He had lived in Douglas County for 46 years. He worked as an electrician in the construction industry and was a member of the IBEW. Larry enjoyed flying and using his video camera.

His grandchildren were his favorite subjects to video. He loved to spend time with all of his grandchildren.

Mr. Anderson served in the Pacific Fleet during WWII.

Survivors include: his wife of 51 years, Helen; a daughter, Ellen Anne Anderson of Roseburg; two sons, Larry G. Anderson and his wife, Linda of Eugene, and Louis Anderson and his wife Rosalind of Eugene; a sister, Marilyn Mansfield of Oakland; two brothers, Lloyd Anderson of Eugene, and Louis Anderson and his wife, Linda of Roseburg; and grandchildren, Shannon and Nicholas Anderson, Ryan, Alicia, and Lindsay Anderson all of Eugene.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jack Anderson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 13, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. at WILSON’S CHAPEL OF THE ROSES. Lee Olmsted of the Westside Christian Church will officiate. Private interment will be in the Roseburg Memorial Gardens. Wilson’s Chapel of the Roses is in charge of arrangements.
