Norris Waller of Marks, 77, retired phone company employee, died Wednesday, September 13, 2000, at his home of a heart attack.
Services were at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Marks, where he was a member, with burial in the Lambert Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Wells officiated. Kimbro Funeral Home of Marks had charge of arrangements.
Born July 30, 1923, in Yazoo County, Mr. Waller was a U.S. Air Force World War II and Korean War veteran, a member of the Marks Veteran of Foreign Wars and a Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Helen W. Waller of Marks; a daughter, Debra Hastings of Jackson; three sons, Dr. Richard Waller of Marks, Jimmy Waller of Senatobia, and Rodney Waller of Sao Paulo, Brazil; a sister, Margaret Waller Moore of Batesville; and a brother, James Roy Waller, Jr. of Crowder; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth Waller of Jackson, Cathy Parker of Starkville, Phillip Waller of Oxford, Ginny Waller of Senatobia, Jason Waller of Columbus, Brittany Waller and Rachel Waller, both of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Clay Hastings of Jackson, Lauren Hastings of Starkville; and one great-grandchild, Sara Katherine Waller of Columbus.
