He was employed by Ingersoll-Rand, Phillipsburg, for 17 years before retiring in 1979 and previously by Worthington Mowers, East Stroudsburg, for 11 years.
Born in Saylorsburg, he was a son of the late Moses and Estella (Kohler) Reed.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
