His wife, Mary Edith Henson, died Jan. 1, 2000.
He had worked at Resh's Disposal, retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Hagerstown.
He is survived by eight daughters, Linda M. Martin, Mary M. Champion, Ann M. Mills, Evelyn S. Detwiler, Mildred E. Betts, Tina M. Stottlemyer, Roseanna Brewer and Linda P. Henson, all of Hagerstown; one son, Calvin E. Murray of Hagerstown; four sisters, Annie Stains, Mildred Slusher, Betty Forsythe and Nancy Beggarly, all of Hagerstown; two brothers, Frank Henson and Fred Henson, both of Hagerstown; 26 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Lewis Henson; one sister, Mary Beaver; three brothers, Harry Henson, Jim Henson and Walter Henson; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Services will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Hagerstown. The Rev. George A. Limmer will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown.
