John Thurman Tidd, 52, Dies Suddenly at Home

John Thurman Tidd, 52, a life-long resident of Seymour, died suddenly at his home on South Lynn Street about 8:30 o'clock this morning. He had been in failing health for several years.

Mr. Tidd was born June 9, 1902, in Seymour, the son of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth Parr Tidd. He was married to Ina Hamilton and later was married to Effie Thompson. During his long residence in this city, he made many friends who mourn his death.

Survivors include two daughters; Mrs. Delores Carr, of South Carolina and Mrs. Laverne Angle, of Mansfield, OH; two half-brothers; Wayne Horn and Francis Horn, both of Seymour and three sisters; Mrs. Minnie Black, of Seymour; Mrs. Lillie Horn, of Terre Haute and Miss Delores Tidd, of Mansfield, OH. Three grandchildren also survive. Two brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the Voss Mortuary. Burial in Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Voss Mortuary after 7 o'clock Tuesday night.
