Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late W.D. and Linnie Bell Tillery. He was a retired automobile salesman for Hohen Chevrolet and a member of Madison Heights Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Hester Bruce Til-lery of the home, one son, John
R. B. Tillery of Memphis; three daughters, Donna T. Logan of Memphis, Dironda Joyce Barker of Easton, Pa., and Demetria T. Sturgis of Collierville, Tenn.; two sisters, Sylvia Condra and Virginia Mayberry, both of Harrisburg; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Thurman Tillery of Harrisburg, W.D. "Dub" Tillery, Jr., and Robert Tillery both of Memphis. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 14, at Memphis Memorial Park Chapel and interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
