Born to Ruth (Baker) Eames and Harold Eames, Warren lived most of his life in their family home in East Templeton, Ma, a historic inn on the Mohawk Trail.
He volunteered for military service in WWII when he was 18 and became a war hero with two Purple Hearts and countless honors for distinguished service to his country in the "Big Red One", 18th Infantry Division, surviving combat in Aachen, the Hurtgen Forest and Crucifix Hill.
After the war, he graduated magna cum laude from Harvard in the class of 1950 with a degree in Anthropology and Archaeology. Recognized for innovation in art and design, he was awarded a degree in business administration from Stevens College and ran a successful interior design business for 32 years, in Fitchburg, Mass.
Predeceased by his son, Alan D. Eames in 2007, he is survived by his life partner, Alice Adams; a daughter, Holiday Eames; 6 grandchildren, Adrian, Andrew, and Elena Eames, Eve Eames Cohen, Taylor McNeill, and David Cohen, and a great-grandchild, Alexander Eames.

A distinguished scholar and a graduate of Harvard University, he fought in WWII in France and Germany and was awarded 4 Purple Hearts.
He was preceded in death by his son, author and historian, Alan D. Eames, at the age of 59, on Feb. 10, 2007.
Mr. Eames was married to Mavis Franks and is survived by his daughter Holiday; granddaughters, Eve and Taylor McNeill and, Elena Eames, grandsons, David Cohen, Adrian and Andrew Eames and great- grandson, Alexander Baker Eames.
Mr. Eames died at Royal Oak Nursing Center, Dade City, FL.
