Flora L. Morris, 74, of Moundsville, W.Va., formerly of Cameron, W.Va., died at 5:05 a.m. Sunday, August 10, 2003, in Wheeling (W.Va.) Hospital Medical Park.

She was born August 23, 1928, in Marshall County, W.Va., a daughter of Emanuel Edward and Freda Irene Goddard Wassum.

Mrs. Morris resided in the Cameron area all her life, recently moving to Moundsville.

She was a member of Brethren Church of Cameron.

Mrs. Morris was an avid bingo player and enjoyed crocheting, reading books about the South, puzzles, Chinese food and traveling to the beach at Nags Head, N.C.

She was last employed as a cook at Anderson Nursing Home in Cameron before retiring in 1989.

In 1950, she married Thomas Carlswood Morris, who died August 3, 1964.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda S. Gray of Cameron and Ninah L. Hannan of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Thomas C. Morris Jr. of Glen Easton, W.Va., and Kevin L. Morris of Moundsville; a stepdaughter, Loretta Darlene White Bailey of Warren, Ohio; three brothers, Paul Wassum of San Diego, Calif., Emanuel Wassum Jr. of Dallas, Ore., and Thomas Wassum of Moundsville; and seven grandchildren, Tonya M. Gray, Matthew Hannan, Stacy, Chelsea, Stephanie and Brittany Morris and Marshall W. Clark-Morris.

Deceased are a stepgrandson, Kevin Bailey; a brother, John Wassum; and two sisters, Ellen Mitchell and Mary A. Minor.

MORRIS – Friends of Flora L. Morris of Moundsville, W.Va., formerly of Cameron, W.Va., who died Sunday, August 10, 2003, will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Rush Funeral Home Inc., Rogersville, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, with Ron McCoy officiating. Interment will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Center Township, Greene County. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to National Kidney Foundation. Family.
