He is survived by his wife, Jo Ella; sons, Robert and wife Sylvia, Steve and wife Bessie, and Gordon and wife Sandy; grandchildren: Carla, Becky, Lauren, Stephen, Madison, Austin, Haley; brother, Nelson McKinley of Springfield, MO. Robert was a Korean War combat veteran and an Atomic veteran who was also in the Navy Pacific theater. He was a Deacon in the Presbyterian Church. Robert was a certified life insurance underwriter.
