Laura was born May 12, 1905 in
Buena Vista County to Henry and
Emma (Schramm) Sievers. Laura
married Elvin O. Knack April 23,
1942 at St Peter Lutheran Church,
Newell. She taught Sunday School
for over 25 years at the St. Peter
Lutheran Church and was active on
the funeral committee as well as
many other community groups and
activities. She entered the Newell
Good Samaritan Center in 1989.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; husband; three brothers —
Albert, Paul, and Carl; and one sister
— Martha Lullman.
