Larry William Craven, 71, of Friendly, WV passed away December 5, 2012 at his residence. He was born September 4, 1941 in Sistersville, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Minerva Cathers. Larry was a 1959 graduate of Sistersville High School, a veteran of the US Air Force, and he was retired from the IBEW after 32 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored.

He is survived by a loving special friend of 25 years, Edith Watson, children, Tracy (Steve) Bell of Friendly, Aaron Craven of Morgantown, WV, Shelly (Matt) Williams of Cannonsburg, PA, Jason (Christina) Craven of Marietta, OH, Patty Anderson of Harrisville, WV, Chuck (Tina) Watson of St. Marys, WV, Liz (Lance) Riffle of Nebraska, John (Lorie) Watson of Middlebourne, WV, Aileen (Bud) Daugherty of Sistersville, David (Bridget) Watson of Friendly, James (Angie) Watson of Friendly, 23 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, uncle, Marion "Bud" Flannigan of Ohio, brothers, Ed Cathers of Sistersville, Kenny Cathers of Iowa, sisters, Judy (Steven) Stanley of Vienna, WV, Terri Gonzales of Charleston, WV.

Services will be held Friday, December 7, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, WV with Reverend Bill Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at Friendly Cemetery with military graveside rites. Visitation will be Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
