Catherine Annette Krause Bachus was born February 12, 1943 in Luling, Texas, was Baptized as a child in Marble Falls, and died Sunday, June 25, 2006.
She was the valedictorian of her high school class, and graduated with honors from Southwest Texas State University. Later, she married, and taught in Jr. high & high school for both the Victoria and Manor school districts; she also won national awards for clothing design and cooking. In addition she was an active 4-H leader for many years taking an active role in the development of and teaching young people.
Catherine is survived by her husband of 42 years James W. Bachus; son, 1st Lieutenant Warren C. Bachus; daughter, Andrea Bachus Kohler; son-in-law, Marc D. Koher; grandson, Atticus Kohler; sister and brother-in-law, Janie and Otto Hallgren; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Gail Krause and her parents, Preston and Leta Krause.
The family will receive friends 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at Harrell Funeral Home, Austin.
Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 29, 2006 at Harrell Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, June 29, 2006 at Greenwood Cemetery, Fredericksburg, TX.
