Freddie Allen Bonetti, SFC (US Army Ret.), age 44, of Brady, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 in Houston, Texas. He was born August 3, 1968 in Brady, Texas to Freddie Allen Bonetti and Helga Luise (Zipf) Bonetti. He was a graduate of Brady High School and had an Associate's Degree.

Freddie joined the U.S. Army just after graduating from High School and served 20 years retiring in 2006 at the rank of Sergeant First Class. He served in Bosnia, Kosovo, Southwest Asia, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Macedonia and also served on NATO detachments. He was named "Sergeant of the Year" by the US Army in 2000. After retiring Freddie worked for Dell Computers in Round Rock, was a Substitute Teacher and worked in private security. He was a Baptist and enjoyed participating in the Marble Falls Community Theater and helping with Special Olympics.

Freddie is survived by his mother Helga Bonetti and her companion Bill Nesbitt of Brady, Texas; daughter Gina Samantha Bonetti of Bremen, Germany; sisters Angelina Helga Deans and husband Barry of Voca, Texas; Frieda Bonetti of Azle, Texas and nephew Jude Maas of Azle, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Freddie Allen Bonetti, who was killed in Viet Nam and nephew Jason Maas.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Brady with Father John Fritts officiating. Interment will follow with military honors at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady. The family will receive friends at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady. Pallbearers will be soldiers from 1st Calvary at Ft. Hood.
