TWIN LAKES, Wis. – Odis H. Moore, 75, of Twin Lakes, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at Walnut Grove Nursing Home in Lake Geneva, Wis., after a long illness. He was born April 19, 1934, in Bosco, La., to Ervin and Lilly (Sanders) Moore. He married Wilma Knudsen on Oct. 19, 1957. He worked for Union Special in Huntley for 37 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 1329 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5040. He served during the Korean War in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953 to 1956. He was very fond of the outdoors and liked to go camping and water skiing. He also liked to take long walks. But, most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his loving family.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Wilma Moore; his four children, Lori (James) Koch, Michael Moore, Margene (Ted) Poulos and Richard (Wendy) Moore; his nine grandchildren, Jamie Koch, Courtney (Adam) Lockinger, Jeremy (Jessie) Koch, Heather Poulos, Nicholas Poulos, Alex Moore, Britney Moore, Dawn Moore and Richard Moore; his nine great-grandchildren, C'Anna Densen, Caitlyn Talley, Jayden Talley, Bailey Koch, Ethan Koch, Maeva Koch, Madysen Lockinger, Elysabeth Lockinger and Benjamin Moore; a brother, seven sisters and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

The visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, until the 11 a.m. funeral at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock. Interment will be at McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Research Fund, 833 W. Washington Blvd., Chicago, IL 60607, or to the Twin Lakes Food Pantry, 701 N. Lake Ave., Twin Lakes, WI 53181. For information, call the funeral home at 815-338-1710.
