Roy was a graduate of New Liberty High School, Panhandle State University and West Texas A & M University. He was a school administrator in Texas and Kansas for 34 years. He was married to Maxine (Brown) Hartman at Delhi, Oklahoma on July 28, 1956. Roy was an avid golfer playing in amateur tournaments from coast to coast throughout his retirement years. He was preceded in death by parents, 1 sister, Mary McLaury, and a nephew, David Vernon. He survived by his wife, Maxine, of the home; 2 daughters, Angela Glascock & husband, Dennis, Cunningham, KS, Genell McClendon & husband, Brad, Rowlett, TX; 3 grandchildren, Daniel Glascock, North Newton, KS, Kathleen McClendon, Nick McClendon, both of Rowlett, TX; 1 sister, Faye Vernon & husband, Hubert, Sayre, OK; 2 brothers, Marshall Hartman & wife, Dorothy Jean, Oklahoma City, OK, Herbert Hartman & wife, Glenna, Sayre, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.
