He was born in Alabama City, Etowah Co. Alabama on March 10, 1923. His Parents were Jodie Ponder & Susie Turner. He married Ruby Mae Grace in 1943. They had 2 sons, Jerome Alan & Archie Dale and a daughter Charlotte Diane Ponder. He married Josephine Spurgeon in 1962. He was preceded in death by his Parents, His first wife Ruby Mae Grace,Ponder in 1958, daughter Charlotte Diane Ponder in 1974, a son Jerome Alan in 2012 and a sister Betty Jean Ponder, Gray,3 brothers: William H.,Burl Jodie & James H. Ponder. He still has two sisters living Rosa Lee Ponder,Pollard and Ruby Jewell Ponder, Shed 4 Grandchildren, & 6 Great Grandchildren.
This was my Father-In-Law. Archie Dale Ponder is his only surviving blood. He will be buried next to Archie's Mother Ruby Mae Grace, Ponder.
