Funeral service for Jackie Ralph Bennett 64, of Gainesville are set for Saturday February 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Chapel with the Rev.Robert Bennett officiating with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday February 16, 2013 from 1: 00 p.m. til 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Jackie went to with his Lord and Savior on February 12, 2013.

Jackie was born on February 16, 1948 in Gainesville to Jack and Sylvia Holland Bennett. He was a Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow. Jackie was an accomplished musician who most in the music community knew as Texas Jack. He played in various venues across North America, playing with Willie Nelson and George Strait among many others Jackie was of the baptist faith and loved to travel.

Jackie is survived by his mother Sylvia Bennett of Gainesville, son Jack Bennett of Gainesville two grandchildren Nicole Bennett of Colorado, and Austin Bennett of Wyoming, brothers Robert Bennett and his wife Kathy of McKinney Texas, Donald Bennett and his wife Cathy of Denton Mike Bennett of Oklahoma City and sister Jan Robeson and her husband Bob of Gainesville.He is also survived by a uncle Clyde Bennett and his wife Ruth of Gainesville and a aunt Glenda Goodman of Houma, LA. and several nieces and nephews including Sylvia Robeson of Gainesville.
