SCIOTA — Richard Vassar. 55 died at the Champlain Valley Hospital Saturday night after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn;one son, Russell; two daughters,Rita and June; his father, Robert Vassar; two brothers, Roy Vassar of Nashua, New Hampshire and Reginald Vassar of Sciota; and one sister;Mrs. Ralph Pombrio.
The body is at his father's home.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Louis Church in Sciota. The body will be placed in a vault until spring.
