Private in American Civil War for Confederate States in "Arkansas State Troops" 10th Calvary Regiment under Captain Rueben Reed; Captured by General Frederick Steele in Dallas County, Arkansas on April 29, 1864; POW in Little Rock Military Prison from May 3, 1864 to June 23, 1864; died in De Valls Bluff, Arkansas enroute to 2nd POW camp in Rock Island, Illinois and buried along the side of the road. His cousin, also a POW captured on April 29th, was with him when he died.
