Ann Sophia Nielsen was the
daughter of the Rev. H. E.
and Lena Nielsen. She was
born at Gilmore City, la., on
October 21, 1893.
During her early childhood
the family lived at several
different places in Iowa and
at Tyler, Minn. In 1910 they
moved to Newell and she lived
with her parents here, until
they passed away in the 1920's.
She spent several years after
that in Rock Rapids, then
returned to Newell, and in
1954 she returned to Rock
Rapids where she lived since.
She is survived by two brothers,
Peter of Rock Rapids
and Henry of Newell; one sister,
Mrs Lillian Holderness of
Seattle, Wash. Surviving also
are five nieces, six nephews
and a large number of friends.
Two brothers preceded her in
death. They were Harry in
1944 and Bert in 1953.
