Arnold W. Coleman, 78, passed away March 22, 2009. He was born May 29, 1930 in Pike County, Kentucky. He is the late son of Paris and Missouri (Honaker) Coleman. Arnold was a United States Army Veteran, having fought in the Korean War. He moved to Ohio in 1955 to work for the Ford Motor Company in Cleveland on Brookpark Road, in which he retired from in 1992. He was a Primitive Baptist by faith.

He was an avid CBer, using the handle "Big A". Arnold enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing, and tinkering with car engines in his younger years.

Arnold loved and enjoyed his family. "And a big one it was." Arnold is survived by two sons Andrew (Karen J.) Coleman of Tennessee, Edward Coleman of North Ridgeville, Ohio, four daughters Marie (Buddy) Stevens of Kentucky, Ruby (Richard) Lanning of the home Elyria, Ohio, Edith Sue (George) Hall of Lower Salem, Ohio, Karen McKinney of Elyria, Ohio; 10 grandchildren Wayne (Lisa) Coleman and Linda (Rich) Adams of Tennessee; Melissa (Shawn) Tibbs and William (Maria) Stevens of Kentucky; Christina (Patrick) Adams of Elyria, Ohio; Ricky (Rhonda) Lanning and Kenneth (Pamela) Lanning of Lorain, Ohio; Kathleen Coleman, Jessica (Eric) Rowe, and Jennifer McKinney of Elyria, Ohio; step granddaughter Desiree (James) Pack of Ohio; 15 great-grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchildren; brothers Carl (Ann) Coleman and Plennie Coleman of Kentucky; sister Faye Coleman of Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 56 years Mary Ruby Coleman, whom passed away June 3, 2008, daughter Dollie Marie Coleman, grandson Charles Andrew Coleman, brothers Arvil Coleman, Frank Coleman, Donald Coleman, Larry Coleman and sisters Daisy Miller and Gracie Newton.

Services will be at the Community Funeral Home in Pikeville, Kentucky on Saturday, March 28 at 2pm. Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery in Kimper, Kentucky. Visitation will be Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27 from 1-7pm at Community Funeral Home in Pikeville, Kentucky.
