Joseph W. Repka, Sr., 80, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, surrounded by those he loved. He was born in Somerville, son of the late Joseph and Jennie (Baranowski) Repka. Mr. Repka was a lifelong resident of Manville, NJ and was a graduate of Dunellen High School. Mr. Repka proudly served his Country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked for 45 years at the American Cyanamid Corporation in Bridgewater where he was a rigger. Mr. Repka was a member of the Thomas J. Kavanaugh V.F.W. Post #2290 in Manville. Joe was an avid bowler, he enjoyed watching sports, especially his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and spending time with his family. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to the casinos and horse race tracks as well as to Las Vegas, North Carolina and South Carolina. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville.

Besides his parents, Joe was predeceased by a loving grandson, Larry J. Shultz and by a sister, Agnes Yakely. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Geraldine (Nunziato) Repka of Manville, NJ; his daughter, JoAnn Goehring and her husband George of Graham, North Carolina; his son, Joseph W. Repka, Jr. of Manville, NJ; a sister, Jean Tomko of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and by sisters-in-law, Martha Harvat, Felice Colombaroni and Norma Fisher. He will be deeply missed by his loving grandson, Ryan Goehring, as well as his many nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews whom he adored.

The Funeral will be on Thursday, May 2, 2013, 8:15 AM from the Ketusky Funeral Home followed by a 9:00 AM Mass at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville, NJ. Committal words will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough, NJ.
