The funeral of Walter C Fonda, former cashier of the Merchants National Bank, was held from his home in Fountain Place on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
The Rev. Dr. Alexander Griswold Cummins, rector of Christ Episcopal Church, officiated in the presence of many friends and there were numerous floral tributes. Burial was in the family plot in the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery in charge of Irving G. Storm.
