Portsmouth - Brian Wayne Beck, 48, of the 3600 block of Moore Rd., passed away on July 16, 2012.
A native of Portsmouth, Brian was an electrical engineer for Verizon .He graduated from Churchland High School and Old Dominion University. He is survived by two daughters, Olivia and Caroline Beck of Weems, VA, his mother, Phyllis D. Beck of Portsmouth, a sister Cheryl Brewster of Portsmouth, a brother Glenn Beck of Allen, TX.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Brian's memory will be best honored by donations for the care of his daughters. Donations may be sent 3613 Moore Road, Portsmouth, 23703 in the name of Mrs. Phyllis Beck.
