Brigham Dewey Davies married Thelma Leon Hammond Davies on April 4, 1924. Thelma died in 1935, and Brigham remarried October 13, 1936 to Doris Olson Davies.

His children are: Jerry, Janet, Darlene, Thelma, Keith, Gilbert, Farrel, Howard and Burton.

Brigham is on the same stone with both Thelma and Doris.

Brigham Dewey Davies, 97, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 1996.

He was born August 25, 1899 in Lake Point, Utah to Brigham and Elizabeth Griffith Davies. Dewey was a member of the LDS Church, having served in various positions including a temple worker for several years with his wife, Doris Olson Davies, at the Jordan River Temple.

He retired from Kennecott Copper Corporation after 40 years of employment. He has also been a farmer ever since childhood.

Dewey's first wife, Thelma Hammond Davies, passed away in 1935 leaving him with five young boys and a new baby girl. He placed an ad in the paper for someone to care for his children. Doris answered the ad and within a few months she fell in love with the children and their father. Dewey and Doris married on October 13, 1936. They had three more children. Doris passed away May 29, 1996.

He was dearly loved by all his family and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his children, Howard (Clarine), Farrel (Gloria), Gilbert (Jean), Keith (Pat), Thelma (Kenneth) Gollaher, Darlene Welcker, Janet (Walt) Parker, and Jerry (Linda); 33 grandchildren; 100 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wives; a son, Burton; son-in-law, Max Welcker; and granddaughter, Rosan Randle.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 11, 1996, 1 p.m. at the Lake Point Ward Chapel, where friends may call 12-12:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment: Lake Point Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Peel Funeral Home.
