April 18, 1937 ~ April 23, 2013

Mesa, Arizona ~ Our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother and Friend, Dale Burtice Bullock, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2013 at the age of 76 in Mesa Arizona. Dale was born April 18, 1937 in Logan, Utah to Burtice and Vera Bullock. He was the oldest of 4 children.

Dale grew up in Providence, Utah and in his early teen years moved to Burley, Idaho, where he played football. He graduated from Burley High School. He married his first wife in March 1956 and had 7 children.

He joined the Air Force in December of 1955. In 1957 he moved his family to Salt Lake City. He joined the Salt Lake City Police Force in 1958 and during his time there he helped set up the Salt Lake City K-9 unit. He left the force in 1969. While on the Police Force he started an Escort and Protection Service for funerals and large loads. After leaving the force he went to work for the Utah State Parks at Willard Bay as a Park Ranger. In Dale's search for knowledge and adventure he took courses in auto repair and air conditioning.

For a major portion of his life he was a long haul truck driver from coast to coast. He then met his wife, Karen and they married June 21, 1991. They continued to drive long haul together which gave them the opportunity to see family and friends. With their union Dale's family increased by 3 more children.

Dale was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a strong testimony of the gospel and love for his Heavenly Father and Savior. He was a scout leader while his boys were young. With 7 children to raise and being a hardworking man he was always busy but made time to spend with the kids. He loved being outside camping, fishing, skiing and hunting. He also had a love for flying and had a pilot's license.

Dale is survived by: his wife, Karen; 6 children David (Nancy), Laura (Jerry), Victoria (Frank), Richard, Nolene, and Karlene (Daniel); 3 stepchildren, Margaret (Gary) Maloney, Connie Crim and Robert Crim; grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Boyd (Judy) and Alden (LuNell).
