Mrs. Plahn was born Feb. 25, 1880, at Carroll, a daughter of George and Louise Wieland Braun, and spent most of her life here. She married Henry C. Plahn at Carroll; and he preceded her in death in May 1956. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Surviving are the following children: Arnold Plahn, Carroll; Mrs. Louise Axtell, Peoria, Illinois; Henry Plahn, Danville, Illinois; Robert Plahn, Janesville, Wis.; Mrs. Betty Carpenter, El Centro, Calif.; and Guy Plahn, New Orleans, La.; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Plahn was preceded in death by one child in infancy, and two daughters, Mrs. Hannah McDermott and Mrs. Marie Dowley.
Mrs. Plahn had been making her home in Peoria with her daughter, Mrs. Axtell. The Huffman funeral coach has gone to Peoria to bring the body here.
