Sandra L. "Sandy" Philip Terry, age 62 of Lawrence Park Twp., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 27, 2013.
She was born April 21, 1951 in Erie, the daughter of the late Alexander "Scotty" Philip and Geraldine Bushley Philip Kaye. She had resided in the Erie area her entire life.
Sandy was a 1969 graduate of Strong Vincent High School.
She was a long-time employee of the General Electric Co. having retired from there in 2009 with 40 years of service. She was a member of the G.E. Quarter Century Club and the U.E. Local #506. She was affiliated with Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
Sandy loved spending time at the beach, collecting beach glass as well as shopping. She was well-known for her infectious laughter and beautiful smile.
Of all the loves of her life, it was the special bond she shared with her grandson Camden (as his "Mimi") that she treasured most. Sandy will be lovingly remembered as the "rock" of her family. She was the one person in the world to whom her children would turn to share the joys and heartaches of life. She meant everything to them and she will forever remain in a cherished place within their hearts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Alexander Armbruster.
Survivors include her beloved daughter, Erin Terry (John Armbruster) of Lawrence Park Twp.; her beloved son, Sean Zuba (Theresa Burt) of Harborcreek Twp.; her loving companion, Dan Yauger and his son, Jonathan Yauger (Jennifer) of Erie; three brothers: Jack Conover (Catherine) of Clearwater, Fla., Barry Philip (Karen) of North East Twp., and Bart Philip (Joni) of Harborcreek Twp.; one grandson, Camden Armbruster; four step-grandchildren: Hayley, Tyler, Jacob and Anthony and two very dear and best friends: Patty Shea and Sue Pointer.
