Gordon Albert Pacquette, age 77, of Harrison, passed away on May 15, 1998, at his residence. He was born on March 12, 1921, in Marine City, the son of Albert and Aurelia (Black) Paquette. He married Kathleen Hampton Wall on Nov. 11, 1996, in Bradenton, FL. Mr. Pacquette had resided in the Harrison area since 1978, moving from Detroit. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Harrison, John J. Carton Lodge 436 F&AM of Harrison, Scottish Rites of Bay City, and the Shrine Elf Khurafeh Temple AAOHMS of Saginaw. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen, of Harrison; two sons, Jerry Paquette and Gordon Pacquette; three daughters, Carolyn Stelmach, Linda Sampier and Charlene Pacquette; two brothers, Gerald and Josephine Paquette of Marine City, and Donald Paquette of Memphis, MI; one sister, Evelyn and Art Campbell of Marine City; seven stepchildren, Linda Roth, Bernie Wall, Kathy Rodgers, Melanie Whitehouse, Lance Wall, Rita Couts and April Schutz; and numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were held on May 18 at the First Congregational Church of Harrison, with Rev. Robert Kauffman officiating, eulogy by Rev. Robert Lazar. Interment was in the Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Hayes Township, Harrison. John Q. Look Masonic services were held on May 17. Memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church and the Shriners Hospital. Arrangements were by Stocking Funeral Home of Harrison.
