Jack S. Paul

Jack S. Paul of R. 4, Sylvester, died Monday, March 30, at the Worth Community Hospital. Mr. Paul served for 16 years in Worth County as the Ordinary, now called the Office of Probate Court Judge. He retired after 36 years with the U. S. Postal Service.
Born in Worth County on April 3, 1914, he was the son of the late William Gordon and Annie Bozeman Paul.
Mr. Paul had lived in Worth County all of his life. He was a member of Isabella Baptist Church and the Peace Officers Association of Georgia.
Funeral services, now pending, will be held at Isabella Paptist church with interment in Isabella Cemetery. The Rev. Phil Law and the Rev. W. G. Tyson will officiate.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Simpson Paul and one step-son, James Creech, both of Rt. 4 Sylvester; two brothers G. T. Paul and Joe Paul, both of Sylvester; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Smith, Sumner, Mrs. Ruth McCrary and Mrs. Frances Booth, both of Sylvester; a number of nieces and nephews and a number of great-nieces and nephews and two great-great-nieces and nephews.
Banks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mr. Paul were held Thursday morning, April 2 at Isabella Baptist Church with interment in Isabella Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Virginia Andrews, Sarah Brooks, Dot Coker, Carl Lawson, Tommy Marchman, Tony McDonald, Raymond Poole, Helen Rohrs, Clarence Smith, Freddie Tompkins and Grady Worn.
Active pallbearers were Darrell McCrary, Glenn McCrary, George Paul, Charles Denham and Glen Bearden.
