Aged and Respected Resident Dies Following Brief Illness
WOODHULL, Oct. 29 – Following a short illness of influenza Mrs. James Tubbs died at her home in Woodhull Thursday evening at 9:30 o'clock. Besides her aged husband she leaves to mourn her loss one son, James [James Henry] and one daughter, Mrs. Ila Benjamin, both of the townof Woodhull, a daughter, Ida having died in childhood.

Lois Colvin, daughter of Stephen Colvin, was born in 1837 and was one of a large family having four brothers, Emmet, Delancy, Caleb and Stephen, besides four sisters, Mrs. Roxy Royal, Mrs. James Everetts, Miss Lydia Colvin and Mrs. Eugene Brooks, the sole survivor. When but seven years of age Mrs. Tubbs with her father moved to Woodhull where she had since resided.

In October, 1860 Miss Colvin became the wife of James Tubbs. Her death is a hard blow to her faithful companion who is in his 83d year. Mr. Tubbs has the deep sympathy of his many friends in this sad hour.
