She was an active member of the Memorial Baptist Church in Fremont. An accomplished seamstress, she made many outfits and costumes for her grandchildren. Her hobbies included baking, canning and spending time with her grandchildren.
She married Walter (Walt) Frederick Riechers on January 28, 1946 in Irvington, Kentucky. She lived in the Weldon community before moving to Modesto, California, with her husband in 1946. Walt died on May 6, 1978 in Almeda, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a stepmother, Sylvia Bell Thomas Pack; a brother, Oliver Earl Pack Sr.; and a sister, Thelma Lee pack Whelan.
Mrs. Riechers is survived by her two sons, Daniel Lee Riechers, Fremont, California; and Garry Ray Riechers, Whitefish, Montana; a brother William "Bill" Sanford (Janice) Pack, Brandenburg, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Cremation was chosen. A private ceremony will be held at a later date at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery where her remains will reside between her mother and father.
