Kandiyohi -- Luella M. Isaacson, 76 of Kandiyohi died Thursday evening at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Kandiyohi with Rev Larry Richardson officiating. Interment will be at Tripolis Lutheran Cemetery rural Kandiyohi. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to service at the church.
She was born on April 8, 1909 in Fahlun Township to Henry and Gena (Olson) Magnuson. She grew up in Fahlun Township and attended School District #39 graduating from Atwater High School in 1927. On June 22, 1934 she married Wenzel Isaacson at Watertown, South Dakota. She lived in Kandiyohi for many years and worked as a telephone operator and at the local café, grocery store and hardware. She was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church and of the LCW and a former Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by her husband Wendell of Kandiyohi, one son Steven of New Hope, two granddaughters, three sisters, Mildred Garner of Osseo, Vivian Butler of Willmar, Gertrude (Mrs. Earl) Thompson of Willmar, one brother, Lloyd Magnuson of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
