JOHNSTOWN — Harold O. Busch, 61, of Caroga Lake, retired, was stricken and died in his automobile at 4 p.m. Wednesday near Hale's store at the intersection of the Johnstown Caroga Lake and shore roads. A nearby resident discovered him and summoned aid from the Fulton County sheriff's office. Deputy Frank Zilka responded together with county coroner Dr. Frank G. Calder, who pronounced him dead at the scene. Born in Johnstown on April 7, 1896, he had, been a life long resident of this area, Mr. Busch attended Johnstown high school and was a graduate of Edison Drafting school. In 1927 he married the former Miss Helen Brown, who survives. He was a member of the Johnstown Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Gloversville Elks lodge and a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Busch; one daughter, Mrs. Willard Bennett of Pompano, Fla.; one son, Bruch Busch of Johnstown; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Brown and Ehle funeral home with Rev. Raymond A. Ketchiedge of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Johnstown Cemetery.
