BURNHAM - Gloria J. Amspacker, 63, of 121 N. Walnut St., Burnham, died at 2:40 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, at her home.Born in Derry Township, Mifflin Co., on Sept. 14, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Arthur L. Harpster Sr. and Genevie L. (Fultz) Harpster.She also was preceded in death by her husband, Dale W. Amspacker Sr., who died on Nov. 9, 2002.Surviving are her children, Dale W. Amspacker II and wife Ellen, Darren M. Amspacker and wife Tiffany, both of Lewistown, Dean K. Amspacker and wife Catherine, of Burnham, and Daniel J. Amspacker and wife Maria, of Lewistown.Gloria also is survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, James M. Harpster and wife Jenny, of Channelville, Texas, Arthur L. Harpster Jr. and wife Rose, of Lewistown, Melissa Phillips and husband Guy, of Yeagertown, Stephen L. Harpster and wife Cindy, and David W. Harpster and wife Tina, both of Burnham.She attended Chief Logan High School.Earlier in life she worked at Scotty Fashions and, in more recent years, at the Goodwill Store.Gloria was a member of the Yeagertown United Methodist Church and Yeagertown Fire Co.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., 108 First Ave., Burnham.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18 at the funeral home.Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1019 Mumma Road, Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
