Their second child, my grandmother Mary Ellen Quinn [Mackie], was born just 3 months after baby James died.
James and Winifred Quinn went on to have Katherine Eliza Quinn in 1876, and Joseph W. Quinn in 1878.
About 1881 the Quinn family moved 19 miles south to North Canaan, Connecticut because of the father's job as a harness maker with Lumen Foote in that town.
There were born 2 more children: James F. Quinn in 1882 and Mabel W. Quinn [McEnroe] in 1884. The Quinns built a lovely house, now named #5 Quinn Street.
