Tammy Davis Tyler, 43, of Rockingham, died Sunday April 21, 2013, at her home. She was born March 29, 1970, in Scotland County a daughter of Edward James Davis and Linda Barrington Chappell. Tammy worked with Convenience Corner in Hamlet for 20 years.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 25, at 4 p.m. at Southside Freewill Baptist Church, Ellerbe with Pastor Ricky Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.
Mrs. Tyler was preceded in death by her father, Edward James Davis; and a brother, Derrick Ray Chavis.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth Wayne Tyler; mother, Linda Barrington Chappell of Rockingham; daughters, Kimberly Cheyenne Tyler of the home and Alicia Ann Hunt of Maxton; sons, Kenneth Aaron Tyler of the home and Patrick Wayne Tyler of Maxton; eight grandchildren; brothers, Allen Ray Davis of Rockingham, and Michael Chavis of Maxton; and sisters, Sue Hewitt of Rockingham, Joann Davis of Rockingham, and Angela Chavis of Maxton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet.
