and Ingsborg Grau. He received
the rites of baptism at Nain
Lutheran Church in Newell.
On March 10, 1940, he married
Ruth Iversen at Nain
Lutheran Church. They had
two boys, Arnold and Gerald.
Ivan lived for 37 years at the
present residence and
previously for seven years,
four miles north. He farmed
all his life. He was a member
of the Danish Brotherhood
Society, was a charter board
member of the Newell
Cooperative Elevator, served
on the Newell school board,
ASCS Committee, and three
times on the Nain Church
Council and his last completed
office in the church was that
as chairperson for the Nain
Building committee.
